It is intended to include all relevant training events and activities that are useful to People Supporting Carers in Mental Health, run by SCB and other organisations.
SCB is tasked in 2003-04 with identifying the SCB Network's learning needs, and developing a strategy for meeting these - the SCB will not aim to meet all these needs itself, but will serve as a reference point where the membership can be assisted to access or develop appropriate skills-development programmes. The aim is first identify and point to a list of the training that is out there, and then (help) develop if possible a national, standard programme of training for all people in this field of work, ideally with recognised national qualifications and standards.
